Happy New Year 2014!

2014If you are reading this, then I wish you a Happy New Year!!   I read an article from entrepreneur.com that challenged the notion of goals (resolutions), and focused on systems instead.  Here’s the link:  http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/230333

I really agree with this.  My business is completely set up around systems.  Systems allow me to serve customers efficiency, with high quality, and consistency.  Every year, a primary focus is growth -like all successful businesses.  I need two things to grow my business:  current customers and new customers.  If the only thing I have is current customers, my business will slowly shrink as customers move, retire, change jobs, etc.  If the only thing I have is new customers, I’m fighting a losing battle because this means my current customers have left.

At The Green Van, we have a lot of systems.  Most of them are very simple.  They are designed with you in mind.  We want to be the most convenient dry cleaner in the world, from marketing to prospective customers to serving customers who have been with us for years.  Here’s a list of how we create convenience:

  • Our marketing is honest, straightforward and tells our story, so it’s easy to give our service a try.
  • Quality of our cleaning is top flight, with a goal of no unexpected issues.
  • Your pick-up and delivery is right at your door, so you have no dry cleaning errands to run.
  • Billing is a snap with our auto-pay, so you don’t have to monkey around with dry cleaning bills.
  • Customer service is friendly and responsive, so problems are resolved quickly and completely.

I’m looking forward to serving you in 2014.   Let’s make it a great year!

-Derek Anderson, owner
